HNI INVESTMENT TRENDS

At ICICI, the potential customers to whom wealth management services could be provided were identified by zeroing in on customers whose Deposit and Investment Value (DIV) was above Rs.2.5 million. The customers were then targeted for offering diversified products and services (Refer to Exhibit-IV for Wealth Management Products offered by ICICI). To avail the services, an individual customer could approach the dedicated Wealth Management branches, available at 54 locations across the country. EMERGING TRENDS AND CHALLENGES
 
According to a report released by Capgemini on global trends in wealth management in December 2016, the demand for wealth management was expected to face a volatile situation in the developed countries due to weak economies. On the other hand, in developing countries like India and China, the market was expected to flourish. The other factors that would have an impact on the global wealth management business, according to Capgemini, were the uncertain political environment in Europe, increasing regulatory mechanisms, and rising new competition from fintech entrants and their innovative offering to the High Net-worth Individuals (HNWI)....
